Kids & teens art classes

A structured, skills-based art education for ages 6–16, taught by qualified, DBS-checked art teachers. Weekly term-time programmes, home-education classes, Arts Award accreditation and holiday art camps – including Halloween half term and our Christmas light-up canvas classes.

A structured art education, not just an art club

Every class follows a structured, skills-based curriculum taught by qualified art teachers in small groups. Children enrol into the same weekly class each term, so they settle into a group and build their skills progressively, term after term.

Skills & techniques

Drawing and mark-making, observation, colour mixing and colour theory, composition, mixed media and texture, and 3D and clay work. Teens go further with tone and chiaroscuro, perspective and proportion.

Artists & ideas

Each term explores different artists and art movements. Students learn about artists and creative careers, and practise research and visual analysis – looking closely at how other artists work and responding with ideas of their own.

Sketchbooks & portfolios

Children develop ideas over time, reflect on their work and build a body of work. Teens produce portfolio-quality pieces ready for school submissions and useful for GCSE and A-Level interviews.

Progression & accreditation

Rotating themed projects revisit core skills at a deeper level each term, and the optional Arts Award – Discover and Explore for ages 6–10, up to Bronze, Silver and Gold for ages 11–17 – gives formal recognition from Trinity College London.
